if the app is still working, digicel deliberately removed the more convenient payment option.

paid a couple accts using https://www.digicelgroup.com/tt/en/my-bill.html#onlineBillPay
like digicel webadmin now discover frames. and thinks that tiny window is convenient.
sidenote, got the texts for a/c payments. none of the emails though.

On wifi or wired? Might be close enough to be considered a 200mb package.

wired

nah it's not the 200Mbps, I always had an odd package for some reason. it started off as 100Mbps then several upgrades later it became 170Mbps

also one random day they dropped a TV box and said it's part of the package

Digi sent a email yesterday to pay my bill otherwise they will charge me a late fee but I can't login to the app nor reset my password as the reset email is not being received. Neither was the email to login via a code. So they going to charge me a late fee and I probably have to go and pay it in a Via outlet.

Do they have a FastPay option like Flow? I also cannot log into my Flow account but I just used the FastPay option and my card was charged normal. You can add Digicel as a payee from most online banking too so try that and pay them directly from your bank account.

The variety 200 bil has finally arrived.
Yet internet speeds even after powering the modem off for a while are still Image

If only TELECOMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO could be bothered about protecting consumers, and ensuring they are getting what they being charged for.

I had to call their support line several times over the last fortnight to get this sorted, but happy to report that I now have the promised 200mbs

Like d app working now but my payment through a Via outlet last week not accounted for so the balance saying 628 when it should be 314 (the new billing period). The app supposed to update within minutes of a payment so something still wrong.

The folks who actually got a useful increase in speed are extremely lucky.
They increased the upload and the bill.

Vanessa needs to go back to Digicel CSR training.

Here's what they offer in Anguilla:

Turks & Caicos:

But Trinidad! Oh no Trinidad has the most special not even a real place Variety 200 Bundle where the upload speed is twice the download. Poor Vanessa from Digicel.

Trinidad is so special, the "supposed consumer protection agency":
1) sees the increased price for the upload speed only as valid.
2) sees the current upload speed (same unchaged speed) as 50% of promised speed, and says pay the bill. you getting at least 50% of what they promise.

But if i pay only at least 50% of the bill, I get late charges. The consumer is not who they protect.

Isn't this where the toothless bulldogs such as telecommunications authority, and consumer affairs supposed to act? Digicel realized they did it once , no complaint was made, they did again , same result and now it simply became habit.

Digicel Internet Thread

Postby Duane 3NE 2NR » March 31st, 2023, 10:54 pm

Disney+ and HBOMax stopped working for me today. Both apps are saying “please check your internet connection” or “no internet”. I reset the modem, reset the router, delete the app, restart the device, multiple times, no go.
I decided to try turning off WiFi and using cellular data and boom both apps working no problem. Switched back to WiFi and right away “please check your internet connection” or “no internet”.
Meanwhile on WiFi websites, google, YouTube and Netflix etc are working fine. Just not Disney+ and HBOMax.
Anyone else experiencing this?

My HBO channels are not working this morning. It's saying I'm not subscribed. HBO app was working this morning. I didn't check Disney+

^ has to be some DNS issue with Digicel+ but not sure why it affecting just me.
Because the Disney+ and HBOMax apps and websites are not working on my network (wifi and ethernet) but if I switch to bmobile data it works.
Netflix, Youtube etc etc etc are all working fine on Digicel+

I got on to the help desk and they escalated it - hoping to get it resolved soon

Digi may likely upgrade their upload speed to match Flow's fibre 200/200 package.
