whoever you get, make sure they sign a contract that contains info about what needs to be done, how much time it should take, their labor cost for the job or each section, and a clause that states anything over a percentage of the stipulated time for completion will result in them bearing the costs/expenses you have to incur, etc.

that would weed out the bs artists real quick

Becareful, There is a guy in the Miscellaneous Bargain Centre advertising as a contractor.
Very poor work done to my property and also using my work to promote his business on trinituner.
I have photos and know people where material bought for my job went on other jobs and he recieved two sets of payment. I am not the only person who had to dismiss him because of his poor standards and work ethics.
I am now pursuing a court matter with him.
Becareful...he comes in religious wear and quotes religious parables making you believe he is honest and trust worthy.
I should have taken extra precaution before but I am rarely in the country and trusted him to do a good job.
Make sure to get a contractor with a good reputation and who is professional enough to get the job done. It may costs a little more but the headache is alot less.

Yeah i know...its was my decision at the end of the day and now i am paying double to have it corrected. I now have a contractor recommended by a relative....the contractor is simple and humble and i am seeing progress with my house and my walls
