WTK: Home Airconditioning

Postby bluesclues » December 3rd, 2014, 12:02 am

want to know what ac units out there using the lowest power consumption or energy/timer settings. also what was the increase in ttec bill after installing an ac unit. would want to supply 3 bedrooms with ac and 1 room will be on near 24/7. should i go with a split unit? or individual units? what brands/model you recommend that get the job done at the best price and easy to repair/find parts in the event of a failure?

There are inverter a/c units for sale now that use less electricity, however they cost nearly twice as much as a regular unit and parts are expensive. I checked the price of the compressor for a Panasonic inverter and if you have to change that you might as well buy a new unit.
Also the relatively low cost of electricity in T&T can make the extra price of the inverter unit pointless to an extent. It may take a very long time for that unit to pay back for itself by way of lower electricity bills.
