LF info on naming new street

Good day,

Buying land in a new road with no name as yet (new development) The land falls under the jurisdiction of Chaguanas Boough. I called registrar's house, Warden's office and ministry of planning, to no avail. I have been trying the Chaguanas Borough corp all day and no answer to any of the numerous numbers dialed. Does anyone know the procedure of officially naming a street ?

Any help is greatly appreciated since non of the governmental offices seem to know.

Wouldn't the developers name the street/road/avenue/crescent/boulevard/lane?

If I could help what do you want to name the street/road/avenue/crescent/boulevard/lane? BTW Hornerman lane is already taken.

Just put up yuh "Devsingh Trace" sign and everybody will start to call it that. Eventually it will get on a cadastral map and yuh good to geow meng.

Persons already living in the new development seem quite comfortable calling it "the road next to abc street", but I would like to formally have the road named. I think I'll just have a sign installed and hope no one tears it down to install some foolish name after themselves - that tend to be the trend in the area.
