Moen shower mixers and kitchen faucets

Anyone ever bought these online and shipped them via skybox service ? If so , do you recommend this method of purchase or should I purchase these locally ?

And where sells these items at the best prices

Buying online shouldn't be an issue. I brought all my Moen items direct from Moen Canada (many years ago) with no problems. I also usually get any replacement parts I might need from Bhagwansingh's (depends on what exactly you looking to get though). Recently purchased a cartridge for the shower from Bhagwansingh's and I don't think there was any big difference between the price there and the price online. What you can probably do is take a trip to Bhagwansingh's and compare the prices offered there to the prices you're getting online. If the prices are better online, I can also recommend some good companies (reputable) who can ship the items down for you for a very reasonable cost.

NOTE: It may not be financially feasible to ship items via SkyBox. Might be much wiser to ship the items via Sea Freight. (As mentioned before, I can recommend you to some good companies).

Cheaper to buy then online and ship via Skybox. I used Aeropost

Purchased all my faucet fittings for kitchen and bath and taps around the house online

Landed costs is approx. 30-40% cheaper that what they are being sold down here for
Wider variety and more types of finishes
Spares included.

Only item which was almost the same to purchase locally was a double bowl sink. Landed cost me about $800 and Peake's had the same design for about $950. Only thing was that the gauge of the one I purchased online for was thicker and the one Peake's had was thinner which was a plus for me.

Allied Industrial has spares, so to does Bhagwansing'hs and Peake's

wasa water licks them all up, used Moen, Delta, and Pfister

Moen uses a cartridge with O-rings
if it starts to leak the cartridge housing will get eroded and even a new one will not work well
because the o-ring is now fitting in an eroded space.

Had a fancy Delta too, that got eaten away at the base. Delta parts cheaper though
does not use fancy cartridge.

Now we use a Cobra I believe, cheap like $350 I think and if it lasts 3 years will dump it and get another.

Bathroom plus in champ fleurs is he moen agent.... there are 2 types of moen one they make for home depot lowes etc and the standard one which is thicker and better quality material even though they look the same. Cartridges are the same as its the same models

Bought my moen kitchen faucet at bhagwansingh
Price wasnt much different when i checked out bringing a set via skybox.

So far, bhagwanshingh had the best price i saw locally.
A lot of places had the same stuff for a few hundred more
Some of the nicer units may work out better to bring in tho and get lots of finish choices than buying locally.

My parents bought moen for their place when they were building....9 years later...
Best investment ever!
The 1 bathroom they didnt use moen in, is the 1 that gives the most problem.

Bought a moen kitchen faucet [bhags] less than 4 yrs ago, and have this problem. when I went to bhags for a replacement, guess what? they don't carry the replacement cartridge.

yeah, don't fall for the lifetime warrantee, never wear finish etc

when I showed people online how a delta get lickup they ask if we does drink the water here

running the bhagwansing moen with no problem but installed a whole house water filter at the main...

Suuggest a filter on the mains to the tanks and one after tour pump also clean tour tanks regularly you will be ahocked at what wasa is giving you

all my faucets and mixers are Delta, 5 years without issue not even a cartridge change, agree with pugboy on Corbras, they used to last forever but now after 3 years you have to toss them and the seats crack and leak

I bought moen from CP plumbing in Duncan village San Fernando.

My plumber told me there's a lot of moen look alike coming from China so be safe and buy it from this plumbing store. Price was a little cheaper than bhagwansjngh.

Best investment ever. I did put a inline filter on my wasa mains coming to the house. You wouldn't believe how much rust , mud etc gets trapped in that filter.

Actualy every 2-3 weeks I have to change it. Those foreign debris will cut your faucet lifespan by half .

Questions on delta?

Does whan tong offer lifetime warranty for delta products

Anyone using the delta single-function pressure balanced systems. ( I.e. Water either on or off. Ability to adjust temperature). My concern is how good does it on work in an area where pressure is always fluctuating

^^^ I have Delta balanced system on all my faucets/ showers and no issues, however I have a pump, I know people with them with no heater so cold runs in both and no issues as well, once the pressure is enough to flow it works

Can't speak to the warranty part but I do get parts to service them quite easily albeit I've only had to change a cartridge in my kitchen faucet in the 5 years I've had them installed

once you have a pump you will be good.
Call them on the warranty

It works, but it doesn't work well with a tankless heater as a tankless is easily affected by flow rates.

Got a Moen kitchen faucet at Homestore. Checked all over and didn't find one I liked, they had a couple different models to other places so bought it there. Price wasn't bad either, $1650.

Are "tankless" water heaters recommended?

Often the outgoing water pressure from a "tankless" water heater is relatively low. As a result, these devices are not generally recommended for use with pressure balanced units due to the possible differences in water pressure from the hot and cold lines. For example, if you were to have 20 PSI on the hot supply line and 50 PSI on the cold, since pressure balancing adjusts to the low pressure, your resulting operating pressure in the shower will be reduced.
