If you have an iPhone just click the message, click "details" on the top right and then click on "Do not Disturb". Any subsequent texts will still appear but they won't make a sound.

Yeah u can. Just replace Samsung/Brand stock app with Google sms from the Play store. Then when the next msg arrives block the sender. Did this in my Asus months ago and bmobile can suck my Irish capered ass since then.
