Simple solution ... Don't harbor or possess any porn.

Just stream it like the rest of us!

Disposed of years and years worth of porn on cds just the other day. With YouPorn, Porn Hub and Xvideos decided it didn't make sense anymore. Someone in the Beetham would be quite happy right about now. .

Postby desifemlove » April 11th, 2017, 11:22 pm

If a website is hosting such, distributors and possibly the site host can be charged under the Children's Act once child pornography is involved. To trace and arrest them is difficult since these sites are hosted outside of T&T's jurisdiction. The only way an arrest is made is if law enforcement gets information where they come to your home and take your laptop or smartphone to find material. That can have legal ramifications by itself, meaning that you have to be 100% certain. This can be easily countered by password protected cloud services and men (and women) these days using whatsapp.

I believe the Cyber Crime Bill which is currently going through its stages in Parliament would address this issue much further. The only way i can see this being curtailed a bit is if these websites end up on a blacklist where the court then orders ISP's to block them. But all these sites have to do is change their address and move to another server.

I know that currently, law enforcement through central authority is trying to engage with servers to release IP addresses of uploaders and distributors to then match them here locally. How far they reached, if it was ever done I don't know.

The thing about the local porn scene is that most people from different walks of life involved... including women.

Depends on a number of factors
1. if the person is an idiot and host it on the normal internet vs the deep web
2. depends on which police/official u bribe
3. depends on how stupid the person is to tie accounts together . Its like here loads of people tie their trinituner account to their email and that email to another email or their phone number so it easy to track. Similarly there are loads of free programs like tor or even cloning your ip

bottom line is in order to crack it they need to find it first.

Not only under the Child Protection Act.
iirc, possession of pornographic material is illegal, in all forms. & iirc, depending on the volume of material one may be charged with intent to distribute.

1.TTPS cant even find the nose on their faces much less a porn site
2.If said porn site was found, TTPS would find it and extort the owner because they corrupt like that
3.If such aforementioned racket was discovered, Kamla would be blamed.

Synopsis- If there was an illegal porn site, check Kamla first to avoid wasting time.

I have talked to a few web developers who have helped TTPS find local porn website owners and it can be as simple as looking at the contact information and some having a copyright claim on their site saying all photos copyright and owned by such and such person or company. Others need to be tracked through their payment options.
