Policeman injured as radio DJ shot in head

Postby *$kїđž!™ » October 16th, 2016, 11:01 pm

TWO men, including a disc jockey with radio station 96.1 WEFM, were executed outside a Curepe bar last night.
While details remained sketchy up to press time, a police corporal who was in the vicinity of where the murders took place was also injured when he engaged the gunmen in a shoot-out.
Dead are DJ Jerome Beckles and Kelvin Rama.
Officers who were on the scene last night said, around 6.50 p.m., Beckles and Rama, together with several other people, were outside Kinshasa Bar, located along Southern Main Road, Curepe, when they were approached by two men who shot them both in the head, killing them instantly.

A few things:

1. TTPS needs to revamp its training with respect to shooting targets.
2. Trinidad and Tobago needs martial law...forget a democratic order.
3. Public hangings/executions of convicted murderers/bandits/kidnappers need to be re-introduced into society.

How much months have you spent training with the TTPS and are you a certified firearms trainer to determine such?

Looks like a fight that escalated to a shooting.
RIP to the fallen.
Hope the officer pulls through.

The more footage we see of this the number we're going to get.
To think this is what normal is now. I can't say wait till it happen to a politician, their family or someone in the media spotlight because it already has and the incompetence of the past and present governments have us here.

Doesn't matter what punishments you decide on if they not getting caught though. I still wish hard labour was a thing. Let them work to pay for the bills for keeping them and any extra they have goes to the family of the victim.

Maybe they should do a Wild West type of law enforcement and offer rewards for suspects dead or alive let them hunt each other down

You underestimate trinis. Some policeman would use that as an excuse to use the general citizenry as his own personal hit squad. Want someone dealt with, give me a $10,000 and I'll make them a suspect with a $5,000 reward.

Checks and balances are there for a good reason.
