After eight hours being quizzed by police, the Santa Cruz contractor allegedly linked to the US$2 million find at the Point Lisas Port was released last night.

In an interview with the Express shortly after, the contractor spoke out on the “injustice of the entire ordeal”.

“All over the news, they saying I locked up. That was not so at all. I was never locked up,” he said.

The contractor described the police questioning and the prolonged hold as “total victimisation”.
“After three months, all of a sudden police want to come and hold me for questioning and ask me a set of questions that have nothing to do with that investigation,” he said.
“It looking to me like they trying to pin something on me.”

When asked if he had any political affiliation, he confirmed he was closely linked to the ruling People’s National Movement (PNM) and believes he is being targeted for that association.

So ...what happening here is that imports and exports are being conducted by illegitimate or non existent companies.

With the Law Enforcement constantly 'intercepting' these shipments at the port-there is no chance to connect the real PERSON the USD was intended for.....

In the Point Lisas drugs haul with the chicken ...I was told that they found duplicate seals in the container and as such probable cause of some one else being able to open container,remove drugs and re seal.

They also didnt trust local law enforcement not to lose the container once it left the port.

The juice containers were done by a defunct co whose director died a while back-so no one can be proven they are the intended recipient -unless caught with it.

TTPS remains inefficient so they never have to 'allow' the container any further or closer to the MAN.

Maybe this is one of the reasons they cleaning up the registry
