Alignment place

Postby supercharged turbo » September 23rd, 2017, 10:33 am

Looking for an alignment place that does good work and calibrates their equipment.Distance is not too much of a concern as I want someone who knows what their doing.

Mack is decent but it helps to know your vehicle before you have work done... Everyone makes mistakes.

Yep. New tires.check.car pulling check.squealing around corners check. Tires cutting check. Parts change check.More than 1 year since checking. Check.

Some people say six months guess that depends on
Your vehicle and your pocket.

My hilux seems to hold out good for more than a year

Used to go every year with my car because the bushings were so hard they would pull the alignment out of spec... Now only if I change parts or observe something off... Like one tyre "cutting" poorly.

The outside edges of my front tyres are wearing a little faster than the rest of the Tyre... But I corner hard sometimes and they are both wearing at about same rate...a little toe in is good

If its wearing, then its a bit more than a little toe in.

Most modern cars nominal total toe is 0.2 deg or thereabouts. Max may be around 0 deg to 0.4 deg with no or negligible wear. Anything more/less is out of spec and will show wear. Toe will always even itself out on both sides, hence the equal wear.

Of course if the wear is acceptable for the handling gain, then its no issue.
