He took the victim there to kill and hide her body after he was done with her , he would be familiar with the location and probably has relatives or contacts nearby. One person with a campsite in the forest it's very likely other persons involved or knows more
POLICE are searching for four men who raped a woman and beat her husband with a hammer during a home invasion in south Trinidad early Saturday.
The victim and her husband, who are farmers, were robbed of their farm animals, as well as electronics and jewellery.

A police report said that around 1.15 a.m. the couple heard “Police! Police! Open the door!”
The couple heard a smashing noise and then saw the criminals – wearing hoodies, bandanas, and dark clothing – in their house.
One of the men beat the husband with a hammer, then bound his hands and feet.
The woman was then pushed into a bedroom where she was sexually assaulted by all of the men.
The criminals then stole the couple’s electronics a quantity of jewellery, as well as three goats valued $3,300 and six ducks valued $900, which they packed into the couple’s car and escaped.
Police were contacted and WPCs De Bourg and Rajkumar and other officers of the San Fernando CID responded.
WPC Dr Bourg is continuing investigations.

PH taxi driver granted $150,000 bail on charge of raping Venezuelan
A PH taxi driver of Carapichaima has been granted $150,000 bail with a surety and two others remanded into custody for the alleged rape of a Venezuelan woman in October 2020.
JOSHUA RAMLAKHAN, 22, a PH taxi driver and TERRENCE ROBINSON, 28, a landscaper, of Gosine Street, Bank Village, Carapichaima, along with JOEL WILLIAMS, 28, a mechanic, of Gorahoo Trace, Chase Village, appeared before Magistrate
Adrian Darmanie at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court on April 19th.
The three were arrested and charged on April 18th for the offence of rape by PC Ramcharan of the Freeport Police Station.
The three men were not called upon to plead as it is an indictable offence. RAMLAKHAN was granted $150,000 bail with a surety and a curfew which commences at 9 pm to 6 am every day. ROBINSON and WILLIAMS were both remanded into custody.
The three are expected to reappear before the court on
May 17th, 2021.
A Venezuelan woman told police that on October 13th, 2020, she boarded a PH taxi with two other male passengers at Isaac Junction, Couva, and asked to be taken to Freeport.
She was instead allegedly taken to a room in a pavilion at Carapichaima where the three men had sexual intercourse with her against her will. They then left her there and made good their escape.
The woman later made her way to the Freeport Police Station where she made a report.
