Auxiliary battery or a single one under the bonnet?

If it's auxiliary check out the XS Power XP series
If it's Single check out the XS D series

I've never heard of those brands you called

Auxillary. Ive used stinger, xs, optima and currently using a diesel powermaster deep cycle as a starter. the xs was the worst of the bunch...maybe due to heat.

Miatsu has given me good service. Haven't used a Power Master in years.

I will never buy a track battery again.
Power master is working fine in two vehicles. 1 put n Aug 2020, the other put in Jan 2021
Both had track before.
And the issues described in that thread never recurred since.

Idk what it is with those track batteries, if is cheap materials, bad assembly, or whatever but they just don't last, I give up on them years ago, simply because they unreliable and fail long before the warranty expired. I got fed up of having to go by them every few months when their battery that under warranty died to "check" if my alternator working, before they replace the defective product. After them I started using PowerMaster, and had no more issues.

Track is Trash. Went to Miatsu and those batteries are good. Sold a car with a 2 year old Miatsu in it (past experience with these batteries they usually last around 18 months). Start up wasn't as strong as it could be but I'm sure it's still going strong.

Currently have my battery for over 3 years. Seeing signs of not going over 3000rpm. Maybe its the battery? Cant kickdown.

Check the voltage at idle and under acceleration.
I doubt the battery is causing that issue.

If this is about engine RPM, the battery load will cause no restriction to the maximum engine RPM. However, fuel and air delivery will.

Limits to engine RPM are best handled by visiting a qualified diagnostic center if you want to quickly understand what the specific issue is.

Fuel: fuel pump, throttle position sensor, injectors.
Air: MAF (mass air flow) sensor, air filter

There could also be a problem with the ECM (engine control module/brain box).

Hey guys, just to chime in, I usually buy the largest battery I can that can fit into my battery compartment, (usually the $850-$900 one. To note, power master is the only brand I have ever bought and so far I have always gotten at LEAST 5 years of service from any of my batteries. Can't complain.

jetta....I assume its a big repair? I surprised it lasted long 10 years and counting ...no big repairs b4.. only those pesky wheel sensors . I learnt my lesson to wash the wheels proper..knock on wood.

Well its more of a casual weekend like car...i does be mindful of traffic and how to drive in stop and go. 75% highway( no traffic) and rest main road.

Yea power master is usually good for me too. And they quick to replace if there's a prob under warranty.

X3. I usually do the same, I buy the biggest battery that can fit without interference issues. Have always used Power Master batteries for the same earranty reason too. I currently use diesel batteries in all my cars except one, a 2008 Note which IMO definitely needs a bigger capacity battery cuz I find myself changing batteries more often than I would care to in it.
