Best AC and Refrigeration Course?

Postby EFFECTIC DESIGNS » April 1st, 2018, 5:32 pm

Good day

Are there any recommendation for schools that offers a course on Air Conditioning and Refrigeration maintenance?

SBCS offers this but that is a City and Guilds Diploma which costs $11,000

Is this worth it or is ATC or MIC a better deal? which is generally considered the most recognized?

SBCS has a course of their own that is about $4300, I assume you get a SBCS certificate. But not sure how hands on and good these trade courses would be at SBCS as compared to say MIC

For good German standard of training and 75% practical hands on experience, MIC is very hard to beat training wise and there certificates once stamped by "Fritz-Werner" the German certifying body is recognized worldwide. You can't go wrong with City & Guilds also as they are also well recognized. If you want good training and recognition you have to be willing to spend extra at these institutions.

I think those German certifications at MIC is for young people who are perusing Machining or Mechanical Engineering or something.

I do not think that a course in AC maintenance would be German? correct me if I am wrong.

If you didnt do it with vernon nobody gives a flying f**k about you in the industry. Plain talk bad manners.

The guys who teach it at mic and nesc did the course with him. Havent decided if I want the job to teach it at ATC yet.

This is all I have to say on the topic.

De man is the best.

I learned the trade from one of his former students (but he does have many years of experience in the field). More or less enrolled to get the qualifications and see whats new. I got a lot more than I bargained for.

Most of the best techs out here are grads from his class.
The better teacher's also cane from his class.
