Hell of a thing, drag racing. Addicting. Ego feeding. Parts breaking. But most of all…fun.
Made a last minute decision to run at Street Car Shootout, while I was on the way to the Wallerfield International Raceway and I have no regrets. Shout out to GarageFresh Trinidad , Boost Factory Garage and Motul in the Caribbean for throwing a phenomenal event.
It was a perfect opportunity to see where the car stands against others and it didn’t disappoint for what it is…A 216WHP WRX. Got about 15-20 amazing runs in, launching the sheit out of it- some I even unconsciously launched off at rev limiter (7800RPM). Exciting!
Unfortunately I found some sort of limit of abuse the car can take while my right foot is in control and I popped an axle near the end of the event, ending my night about 2 runs sooner than I would have liked. Say what- all that in it.
Car would be repaired and ready to run the upcoming Creative Auto Recreational Sports AutoX Event #4 next Sunday, 19th August, 2018. Right, Barry?
In retrospect I kept hearing a sound similar to that of a failing/failed CV joint about three weeks now (since before the last AutoX BYCC event). However since it wasn’t consistent I filed it as just a sound from the coilovers. Guess I was wrong…ha!
Anyways- thanks for reading.
Thanks for the support as always everyone and much thanks to the sponsors!
