Yes, look how all drug smuggling, gangs and murders went away since September 2015
The Oreo comment was childish and derogatory, and handed the PNM the opportunity for manufactured outrage. To the moron who said it was racist because an Indo called an Afro "Oreo" lol:
The disgustingly hypocritical PNM FAB and 2NR sheep seemingly forgot "jammetry", "kyat" "Calcutta Ship" etc.

Both parties have stoked the racial fire in this country with unwarranted, silly, derogatory comments over the years. It’s just the PNM’s turn to yell “ look at what they did!” this time around.

I’m just dumbfounded by the continued narrative, there is absolutely nothing to gain and a whole lot to lose with those utterances.

Yup. That's pretty much it.

They cry about racism, but watch them run to serve a white person.

So Growley serving the 1% is not a new thing. This photo below is a decade old.

It's a lot easier to rule a subservient population when you are seen as "one of them". Your successes are their successes, your failures are their failures, your enemies are their enemies. Race is the only thing that either political leader has in common with their loyal supporters. Comments like this keep the status quo. It's no wonder that we never had a mixed race prime minister. Can you imagine a dougla PM? I wonder if T&T is ready for that?

Also... why is this news? Is there an oreo epidemic that needs to be addressed that I don't know about? Why are oreo advertisements showing up in the sidebar of this post? Surely there are more important issues that need to be addressed.

94-01, my good padna in highschool, his nick name was oreo. Also apple (last name was pierre) - was a simpler time.
Now I had never even seen an oreo and we didn't know it could be remotely derogatory. But he was the nicest fella, with teh darkest skin and whitest teeth. So oreo was a good fit.

Ok... did he prove that he is not an oreo? List what specific actions his Government did for the afro-community? Specifically in the areas of Laventille, Sea Lots, Beetham, etc?

Tantie Kams and dem put themselves in that position by attacking the man's character during the last elections. If they showed how his flaws directly impacted the running of the country (a la 'Raging Bull') then fine. But they tried to distract the public from their own failures by using emotionally charged issues, painting the man as a rapist and misogynist. Thing is they miscalulated big time because while Trinbagonians complacent, they eh chupid and that is partly why they ended up getting their arse cut good and proper.

Anyways, back to the oreo comment. If he has no problem with the term, dat good. We'll just add it to the list:

*Mason Hall Messiah
*RowLIAR
*Baldylocks
*Sh!tkicker
*The Original Oreo

People reading that should have a pretty accurate picture of the type individual we're dealing with...:|

Not him so much, if you are a non-black and you say that word, you might find yourself in a fight even if you use the word ending in "a" and not in "er". Yeah i know... but it's a culture thing in the western world.
