Recently had some pine doors painted white and installed. After a short time I started seeing brown stains on the doors. I was told it was the wood oil leaching through the paint. How can I rectify this? Sand down and repaint? Is there a particular paint that should be used? Don't know much about wood working so could use some guidance.

To hide pine knots, you will need a shellac-based hiding primer like Zinsser B-I-N.

Sand and prep the stain and a bit beyond it. Apply two light coats of B-I-N. Let it dry and apply the finishing coats of paint.

gonna try building a bathroom vanity using teak
would have loved to put some dove tail joins on the horizontal boards where it meets the vertical panel
but i would have to settle for pocket hole screws

You can glue them together or use pocket holes (which is what I use), best bet is to use both

What is the best way to sand teak before applying the sanding sealant and after
So that the wood will not look scratched?
