Yes, i the problem was rectified. The conversion rate from tt to usd is much higher that i thought E.g., if an item cost 2o usd, you have to load approximately 26 USD on the vtm.

The Republic VTM card holds up to US$5000 I believe.
If you take US$5000 to the bank they will put it on for you, the issue is getting US$ to purchase.

so it will take patience, but you can load the max on the card without having to actually source the physical usd

You would think that, and any normal rational person would as well. But the bank ain't a normal rational person.
They will buy it from you @ 6.10:1, then sell it back to you @ 6.7993:1. So if you really want the entire USD $1000 on the card, be prepared to spend an additional TTD $699.3, and then another TTD $78 for their loading fee.
Better keep your USD cash for when you travel.

Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:^ first I’m hearing of that. If you have US$ in your account that’s what they transfer. They don’t buy it and sell it back to you afaik. Unless that’s what they do with cash? Never heard of that.

maybe their account is a TT$ account, so they cannot put US$ directly into it for wire transfer or vtm loading. in this case.
question: how difficult is it to get a us$ account if i have no proof of us$ income.
