Father of 10 gunned down in Marabella

A CEPEP worker was shot dead in front of his children at their home in Marabella on Thursday morning.

Damian Howe, 42, was preparing to leave his Kitchener Street home when two men entered at around 5am.

Police said Howe ran into a bedroom and attempted to hide.

But the gunmen followed and shot him multiple times about the body.

His children, who were awaken by the commotion, were not injured.

The men ran out of the house and into a waiting vehicle.

Howe died at the scene.

Police have no motive for the killing.

I like how they linking some major crimes to gang leaders and charging men under the anti-gang legislation though.
The recent LO arrestees are being investigated under Anti gang laws because the owner of a large fleet of cars is also a person of interest ,so men talk about doing a transfer and getting counselling a gang and those sort of charges.

Beaten to death with brick, but business as usual

A man was attacked and beaten to death with a concrete block in Ste Madeleine near San Fernando on Sunday afternoon.

The killing happened outside a bar at the junction of Coquette Street and the Manahambre Main Road.

The man, identified a 45 year old father of one Richard Soondar, was struck on the head and was dead within minutes.

The suspect, a mentally challenged man from the village, was spotted by responding police officers and captured.

Police say the suspect asked Soondar for a cigarette. When Soondar refused, the suspect launched the attack.

Except for weeping relatives, most others went about their business, with the bars remaining open and dozens of people buying drinks and sipping on beer while looking at the crime scene officers do their work.

Police have obtained security camera footage showing the attack.
