The National Hurricane Center has decreased development chances for Invest #91L, approximately 1,000 KM east of T&T.
Regardless of development, showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast from late Tuesday through Thursday for the Windwards.

Description: Periods of rain and/or showers of varying intensities are expected from early morning (05th October 2022) commencing over Tobago and eastern areas of Trinidad as an active tropical wave traverses westward over our area. There is also a 70% (high) chance of heavy showers and thunderstorms that can produce intense rainfall in excess of 25mm. Gusty winds in excess of 55 km/h may be experienced especially in the vicinity of heavy showers/thunderstorms. Street/flash flooding and localized ponding are also likely in heavy downpours. Seas can become agitated at times in sheltered areas. Landslides/landslips are also possible in areas so prone.

Instructions: Do not wade or drive through flood waters. Secure loose outdoor items and livestock. Monitor weather conditions and official updates. More information: www.metoffice.gov.tt; www.odpm.gov.tt.

2. East of the Windward Islands:
A broad area of low pressure located a couple of hundred miles east
of the southern Windward Islands is producing an area of showers
and thunderstorms to the southeast of an ill-defined center.
Upper-level winds are likely to become more conducive for
development, and a tropical depression could form during the next
couple of days, if the system stays far enough away from land while
moving westward at about 15 mph across the Windward Islands and
southeastern Caribbean Sea. Conditions appear to become more
conducive for development later this week when the system reaches
the central and western Caribbean Sea. Regardless of development,
locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds are expected over portions
of the Windward Islands tonight and Wednesday. Interests in the
Windward Islands, the ABC Islands, and the northern coast of
Venezuela should monitor the progress of this system. An Air Force
Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft is currently investigating this
system.

The forward speed of the tropical wave located just east of Tobago has since increased resulting in impactful weather now expected to begin affecting Trinidad and Tobago earlier. Periods of rain and/or showers of varying intensities are expected from midnight-12:00 am (05th October 2022) commencing over Tobago and eastern areas of Trinidad as the active tropical wave traverses westward. There is also a 70% (high) chance of heavy showers and thunderstorms that can produce intense rainfall in excess of 25mm. Gusty winds in excess of 55 km/h may be experienced especially in the vicinity of heavy showers/thunderstorms. Street/flash flooding and localized ponding are also likely in heavy downpours. possibly, though the 5 day forecast may not be as accurate as the 3 days one. in 2 days we will know for sure.
