Mash,

The trend is usually West and then North West in the part of the world.

Never direct north.

sometimes we get a wnw, now and then a nnw. we did get a wsw with a nne with the same system

How they reach Karen?

I think they are confusing Atlantic and Pacific hurricane names.

DUMB DOTISH PNM POLITICIANS! THAT IS KEITH ROWLEY IN PRINT!

Why put our school children through the trauma of trying to get home on the day a TS is scheduled to hit T&T?

While the politicians driving in their Prados and luxury vehicles, above the water, school children will be fighting up with big people for buses and maxis to get home.

Create a problem. Solve it. You're the hero. You never read stories about fires being started by individuals working at the local fire department in order to be called out to come and play hero?

I hear him talk about mattresses and cribs being given out to Corporations. Anyone know which ones specifically.

I have to beat up because it is our children!

Rowley was vex with Kamla over 10years ago, when, as PM, she gave the order to close schools due to an approaching storm.

God turned it away and Rowley real boof Kamla then.

Now, the shoe is on the other foot, the scenario is much more deadly and Rowley and the PNM playing Russian roulette with our children.

So what if the children stay home for the day. At least we know they are home.

Doh worry about things you can't change. Look on the bright side, free box dinner for students staying in school and free swimming lessons when the water reach high enough. 8-)

Ent. I remember once, rain like so. I used to travel with PTSC then. Waiting for Arima bus since 2:00 p.m. School over, children joined the line.

Arima bus reached 6:00 P.M. I kid you not.

When the bus reached, big-hardback men and women pushing the little children to get the bus.

This time is possible TS. Much worse.

There was a second Bret in 2017 that hit Trinidad directly. Caused quite a lot of damage to property and infrastructure too.

Was a very frightening experience...

the other one was 1993

https://reliefweb.int/report/aruba-neth ... ion-report

I remember it was a Friday and ppl got off work early, the experts were sure it was hitting us dead on but somehow the size fit just between.

We will see what they say tomorrow with how it is aimed and the size.

I cornflicted on the school thing. schools serve as a child care center while parents carry out the necessary preparation work either at home or at businesses. and children themselves have test and that is a stress by itself.

the TS Warning say start time 8:00pm, so I guess 5 hours is enough buffer for the kids to reach home (school supposed to be 3km from home, at least at primary school level afaik).

any idea on how to stop water coming in from windows? normally not a problem but back in 2017 rain did fall all sides and come in and I was mopping for 2 hours in the middle of the night.

something temporary and cheap

the wind is probably blowing it through the gaps even though the lip supposed to block water moving up against gravity
maybe you could try stuffing or running some strips of cloth to fill up the gap before closing the windows to block air whistling through and pushing water
