With Kalain Hosein in Egypt for COP27 TT Weather Centre has been very sparse with details that otherwise is not well known to the public.

What are the statuses of the various watercourses across the major basins of the country?

You live Limehead road?
Very close to Limehead.Near Nice place .
Not posting any more directions because I feel Max will come looking for me, Vaseline in hand.

the house with the big yard by the S bend used to enchant me as a child.
lil rundown now, but goshboidanboi
It had a funeral there some time ago?
That house is cursed. It is now owned by a Pastor.
Rumour has it that a drug dealer and his crew got corned there in the earlies and have been haunting it ever since.Nobody has lived there long.It always being sold.
Real reason,it in the middle of the flood zone. But yeah, I used to want a house like that.
The house I building right now resembles that quite a bit.

The river next to that house needs a proper dredging since all the water from across the highway flows through there.

And everybody heading north slowing down to watch the height of the caroni river and causing ridiculous traffic
Same river runs behind my house.Government has no money to dredge rivers, but we want to provide tax free services to illegals.Eff the matrix yes.

Looking like this constant rain whole day today. This is a flood and landslip day because everywhere saturated.

An entire month now rain falling like it's monsoon weather. Are we witnessing a climate change in progress? I feel in a few years people in the bad flood areas in parts of the country today will give up and have to migrate from those places. Just like how we know that climate change had always driven migration of our ancient ancestors all over the planet.

All that energy from a warmer ocean released as rainfall. So while the hurricanes are one thing, the rainfall releases a lot more energy than the more destructive Atlantic hurricane season storms that we find easier to relate compared to just rainfall.

Definitely more than we are accustomed to. And I’m sure people in Madras, Kelly, Trantril etc where got flooding repeatedly this year are considering it or already have moved.

There was a study recently on the economic and social effects of flooding in parts of Trinidad and Jamaica

FROM THE PRIME MINISTER

NATIONAL ALERT

We are currently experiencing a bad weather emergency.

Excessively heavy rains are upon us and all our water courses are at or are close to capacity. The international forecasts are for further incoming heavy rainfall over the next two days. Already there is significant damage to our road infrastructure in very many parts of the country. We are anticipating increased flooding and landslides in susceptible areas.

Citizens are requested to be very alert to these dangers and, as far as feasible, restrict your movements until the dangers have passed or are abated.

All arms and agencies of the state have been fully mobilised and are on alert under the instruction of the Prime Minister and under the monitoring guidance of a team of
Ministers from Local Government, Works and Transport, as well as National Security.

Further updates and interventions will be forthcoming from the relevant agencies as we batten down to ride out this period of weather emergency.

Please be safe and look out for ouneighbours especially those who are unable to properly look after themselves.

Pay attention to the updates and cooperate as much as possible under these very threatening circumstances.

Bad weather emergency and still on yellow alert?

This is not a hurricane.

What we should be emphasizing on is the flooding that is happening even with normal rain fall.

Stop blaming the weather, blame those Trinis that are littering and not building proper or considerate drainage for their structures.

ODPM needs to be on standby and ready to help affected citizens and migrants.
