What kind of taxes going to be applied to that 6.2L V8? At least you could get a 2.3L Ecoboost Mustang.

It's $45 per cc if the displacement is 3500 or higher.

So 6,200 * 45 = $279,000 in MVT alone.

If the base model Stingray with whatever upgrade pack can get it to 60mph in under 3 seconds, I wonder what kind of performance GM will provide with the Z06 and ZR1 models?

An engine producing 80hp per liter isn’t that great imo in 2019.

The 458 is a decade old and produces around 120hp per liter.

How much hp per litre does the vehicle you currently drive make.

What you are not looking at is the tuning potential of the base model.
Add just a hint of forced induction and that is a proper beast

Just wait for the HP numbers of their tuned packages ZR1/Z07 etc

Also keep in mind that the engine isn't highly strung so there is less chance of breaking something expensive after running it hard

I know it will be a decent drive with decent power/weight ratio, excellent handling, fun RWD etc.

It's just that bringing in a car with 6.2L is such a massive difference in cost when compared to something smaller even in the highest range.

It may be affordable for Americans, but it will still be out of reach for many Trinis who were thinking about it.

100K more in MVT tax alone when compared to a GTR.

Trust and believe.. there's no such thing as out of reach for the people that can and are actually thinking about owning one.

you sound like those ppl who say 'eah dem Ferrari eh make sense, we eh ha road to drive dem ting fast'
Look back at the cars in class I referred to....ppl who own those cars don't fuss over import duty and displacement tax, especially of the car in question costing under 100k US MSRP
