some people on the Google help thread for "error PRS-GCRPM-01" are saying that you need a US credit card verified to your Google account in order to use the Play Card. Or use another gmail account, but that's just stupid.

Yeps .... can't make purchases with the play credit. Hopefully it goes away soon . It happened a few years ago and fixed itself after a while

It look like Google finally lock that down.
Smallies are understandably miffed, because no more Robucks buying.
