During the dry season literally every day somebody was burning down a part of the Northern Range along the East West corridor.
They should find these people and give them jail time or hefty fines for contributing to these floods.

Trinidad and Tobago Weather Center

Be wary of sharing old images of flooding!

This one has been making the rounds on social media, but it was actually taken during the major flooding from Tropical Storm Karen in 2019!

Agreed. But is not the large developers doing the most damage?

That entire area needs to be assessed by civil engineers for potential Landslide and if housing should even be situated at that place. That focused torrent of water coming down may as well be a dedicated flash flooding canal. 20 years from now if there is a devastating landslide event with much life and property lost... Who to blame?

That is Volute St in Bon Air West.
It's a north-south street that basically has it northern starting point at the base of a pretty steep mountainside, but something has happened uphill recently that is causing that flooding any time there is heavy rain. I've never seen flooding of any kind there before this year.

Some practical engineering intervention may be required there to figure out what's causing it.

Hope the Member of Parliament for that area brings this to the Minister's immediate attention for investigation. This is a massive disaster happening before our eyes. The flooding effects are just one, the mountain landslipping will happen over many years.
