Ok, I just came back from seeing that Star Wars movie ..

It is the "worstest "

How can such a movie make $90M USD ?

It behooves me ..

The best way to make money is flashy graphics.

Back when CGI wasn't such a big thing due to lack of technology during the 80's and early 90's they had no choice but to focus on great story telling, acting, sound etc.

Story telling, acting, music etc doesn't define movies anymore because it doesn't have to. Plus nowadays directors have to deal with making sure they have things like LGBTQ in their movies along with a lot of other stuff that wasn't mandatory back in the days.

So the focus has shifted and if anything Transformers and Marvel Movies have shown that you do not need story or acting to make money. So why would they waste time making good movies anymore if they can make sh!t and get rich?

ROFL when you used to think that the 2nd trilogy Episodes I, II and III was bad, but now seems like classic cinema to this latest nonsensical Disney ratbag. I remember watching The Last Jedi in 2018 and none of it made sense, never watched it again, and there were a ton of YouTube reviews confirming that the story was retarded, convoluted nonsense. Things that had nothing to do with a plot of any sort, magic woman power, etc.

If young people today can follow this story and think it's great cinema, they're missing out on what a real legendary cinema experience is.

The only assimilated property they haven't manage to royally frig is the Muppets which most likely is because Jim Henson's vision for the Muppets (family appeal and entertainment adults don't have to suffer through) was similar to Disney's ideals.

Disney's version of family ideals leans heavily on sanitizing characters for effective merchandizing though.

Remember those direct to video sequels of classic Disney properties? Enjoy those new Star Wars and Marvel superhero films.

the way people criticize Star Wars for the lack of modern culture and ideals...it's almost as if the story occurred a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away....

what's so wrong with the movie?

why all the complaints....people still stuck in a stigma that the 4, 5 and 6 was the best? maybe it was? maybe it wasn't? they probably were but stop living in the past u old 'pretending to be' boomer farts....Disney still got your money and a story is complete for now.....

Mandalorian has that Star Wars feel but seems "tame" perhaps due to the family oriented nature of Disney+. Last week's episode almost turned that assessment on its head though...'twas the best so far...

The actor who played the original Boba Fett passed away this morning.
Jeremy Bulloch, the British actor who played the character Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy, has died aged 75.
