Local businesswoman Loren Ridinger shared some unfortunate but altogether too common news on Thursday: She had a breakthrough case of coronavirus.

“Why you should get vaccinated,” wrote the Market America/Shop.com mogul. “I was fully Moderna vaccinated and was told I have COVID yesterday. I have been incredibly safe, always mask but yet still exposed and got COVID four months after my vaccine.”

Rapper Dess Dior just performed at Rolling Loud in Miami. Now she’s got COVID

It is unclear if the Miami Beach resident, who has appeared on “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” has the Delta variant, which is currently on the rise.

Vaccinated people can still get COVID. Here are the most common symptoms, study says

For those who don’t think you should bother to get the shot if you can get the virus anyway, the 52 year old wife of JR Ridinger had these words: “If I wasn’t vaccinated I could be so much more sick. Today I am grateful for the vaccine.”

As for how the socialite is feeling, her symptoms are apparently manageable.

The post ends with a plea: “Please, please do your body and those you love a favor and get vaccinated as it really does make the process easier. COVID is real and here for a while. Mask up.”

COVID-19 vaccines are the best way to protect people from getting seriously ill in the hospital or dying, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. However, the agency notes that no vaccine is 100 percent effective and breakthrough infections can occur.

Bluefete, I noticed that you did not highlight the important parts at the end where she said:

"If I wasn’t vaccinated I could be so much more sick. Today I am grateful for the vaccine.”

"Please, please do your body and those you love a favor and get vaccinated as it really does make the process easier. COVID is real and here for a while. Mask up.”

But you made sure to highlight big and bold using a different font color and size the fear-mongering parts that a fully vaccinated person got Covid. Once again, a vaccine does not stop you from getting a virus, it keeps the effects manageable for your body so it does not get overwhelmed and you end up near death's door. This fact has been known since vaccines were invented. It seems like this story will be told every day as replies on social media for the rest of our lives, but the people who love to create fear will continue to thrive on it. Look at yourself please.

You know over 100 million people around the world had mild cases of Covid? Some didn't even know they had it.

And the 4.2 million who who died? That's acceptable? Just flip a coin and take your chances, is that it? And the majority with long-term complications? What are the casino rules for them? So let the virus continue unchecked through the human population then, flip the coin, rather than take a vaccine. Didn't we used to do that with smallpox and polio? And we made a vaccine for those crippling viruses? The majority of infected people also lived didn't they? So why did we create a vaccine for smallpox anyway and eliminated that disease, why couldn't we just let the fittest survive? And after all it was only 2 -5 % of children really affected by polio. Everyone else survived. Those aren't good odds? Let people take their chance, flip that coin and victim blame the "unhealthy" people. And the +1000 deaths in Trinidad, apparently they're not real people with real families, it's just a number on paper for you to look at and feel good about the numbers and the odds. Eh casino boy?

I only highlighted the headline of the article as I do with all my posts.

You are right in that I did not highlight anything in the article. Glad you read it through though.

So make sure you get vaccinated and stay safe.

When you flip a coin you have a 50/50 chance of each outcome. With covid, survival is a 99.99% chance.

the number i heard him say was the fully vaccinated. So he was saying that like a significant proportion of the population are not fully protected against the virus. That one i remember. I can't remember him saying other numbers after that one but as I said I am multi-tasking so i may have missed certain things he said
