So I took the AstraZeneca ChAdOx1 vaccine at SAPA in mid-August. I had waited so long for my turn and it was there and available and I felt great finally getting it. I went before work, there was no line, parked right up to the area, the people at the registration filled out my forms for me and I breezed through. Didn't even feel the needle. The rest of the day at work was good, even great since I was so relieved to finally get the shot.
By the time I got home, I was extremely exhausted. 6pm felt like 12am. I started getting chills, fever went up to 100°F. I didn't take Panadol because I am a man and I wanted the full dose experience. By 9pm, I took a shower and had some of the worst chills of my life. Spent the rest of the night tossing and turning and not sure if I slept at all. I had vision changes, seeing with a greenish yellowish tinge and that lasted a few days (note: I've had this before with non-covid, non-vaccine viral infections). I had some dissociation effects for a few days as well- meaning I didn't feel like it was "me" interacting with the world. The immediate reaction was one of regret -- the next day at work I searched for "HOW TO TAKE THE VACCINE OUT", "IS THE VACCIEN POISON" "I KNOW IT IS STOP LYIGN".
After a few days, all that mostly cleared up and I wasn't so tired. But my arm started hurting at that point. The pain got worse after a week- become the worst during week 2. Felt like my arm was run over by a truck. heavy, didn't want to move it. I also lost strength in the arm - causing me at one point to drop a heavy object and injure myself further.
the arm pain/weekness got really bad until it cleared up in week 3 after some spasms and weird sensations. After that, been fine, better than fine actually.
I realize now I was struggling with "long-covid" type symptoms for some in July/August. I had brain fog and I adjusted how I handle tasks to compensate. I broke down tasks down into smaller, bite-sized tasks and taking them one at a time since I could not "zoom in and out" on the larger task as I could before. I noticed that I wasn't able to appreciate details in music as well - and I not kidding, literally couldn't tell the difference between a $30 earbud and my $3000+ open-air headphones.
All that "long-covid" type bad stuff basically disappeared about 3 weeks after my first vaccine shot and I feel fine, better than ever actually.
side note: my wife 'lapped me' with her 3-week interval Pfizer shots. She's fully vaxxed and better protected than me while I still waiting on shot 2. And Pfizer basically had no side effects for her except some tiredness after the second shot.

So why didn't your aunt take off her sleepwear before she went for the vaccine?
