Feeling really sorry for the trinis stranded again in Barbados. Apparently, Barbados testing facilities were unable to deliver their Covid tests within 24 hours and a repatriation flight returned home basically empty last night.

Now these poor folks have to pay to stay 2 more weeks in Barbados till a next repatriation flight is arranged.

Why the firetruck is that taking almost 2 weeks while PNM cronies are flying in and out as they please.

Little update on a kid who is a family friend. The child got over covid and about 1 month later he was diagnosed with MISc. In a nutshell, its inflamation around the lungs, heart and other organs. The child is critical in mt.hope atm...be back shortly

the govt should highlight these cases to show the seriousness

No preexisting conditions. He was exposed to someone who was out and about as normal. That person was quarantined at home and well the rest is history. The child in question also had mild symptoms and recovered well....or so it would seem

A number of staff at both mayaro an rio claro branches of Republic Bank tested positive, some in quarantine awaiting results. Sources indicate that A few of them went an lime in a bar in Rio claro on old years day an one person had it.

if, and when that new variant makes it's way here, especially on a boat we may have no choice, either put them back in state quarantine which is what was done initially or let them sign a form agreeing to home quarantine with a bracelet.

Is the new vaccine capable of handling this amount of variation?

Also is/are our testing and laboratory infrastructure capable of identifying and dealing with the variants?

What is the status with regards to us getting vaccines proposed price and quantity?
What does being part of COVAX mean for us?
