How to travel to Tumpuna Road South

Guys, I recently moved to Arima.

I live on Tumpuna Road south, and want to know how to travel to/from there, in case I need too( I have a car).

I know how to travel to the Arima, on the bus route, but have no idea where the taxi stand is from the arima maxi stand to get to Tumpuna road south. :roll:

Any guidance appreciated.

cor Farfan & Pro Queen streets, Brazil/Talparo taxi stand. Those taxis traverse that route.

The taxis on that stand don’t generally like to cross the lights in fact even venture that far during peak hours. If that is the case walk straight down that road and wait for a PH car near HILO/ Tatil

Please clarify, don't like to cross which lights? The lights by the highway? Because to get to Tumpuna road south from Arima, crossing the highway ain't optional, no matter if you pass from

to cross the highway you need to take a brazil/talparo taxi or green ban maxi on farfan street. if you going to arima from home you will have to wait on the main road for transport. usually you will get the same brazil/talparo marxi or taxi

dis is what I know
one would HAVE to cross the h/way by the lights to get to Tumpuna south from arima via Tumpuna north, unless you take it from santa rosa side & head west, then you just turn left

Tumpuna south is south of the lights at the CRH right?

That particular stand don’t like to reach close to that lights during traffic hours from Arima to that direction. They usually tell you as far as T&Tec

O’meara road/ carapo.. same principles apply, taxi don’t generally like to cross lights at highway, use PH taxi if it’s the case

So, u saying, Brazil/Talparo/Lasomas taxis, on the Brazil/Talparo/Las Lomas taxi stand, does tell you that they NOT going further than T&TEC, which is actually located on Tumpuna road North & nowhere near any of those destinations?

La Horquetta/Cocorite Rd taxis are the ones who mostly reach TTEC when its peak time. Brazil/Talparo will go the distance and if not they will reach as far as Fine Choice

Bro let me clear up what I’m saying, Tumpuna road south isn’t as far as Brazil. The correct taxi stand for tunpuna south is supposed to be the one by pizza boys which is the la horquetta/ cocorite road official stand. (The one on the road by grand royal) but those guys are too sweet for the road to go their full route which results in persons going lower down the road for the PH.

That other stand by where the green maxis are, supposed to be Brazil Talparo with the taxis across the road on that same road. Yea you may get a car from there or a maxi to drop you along the main road of that route seeing they pass the same place but officially they are for the longer route- Brazil/ talparo

I understand what you saying now. But lemme clear the air a little.
I kno TRS doesn't run as far as Brazil. But that is the transport you have to take.
But I can understand now why you say that they don't go that far. There is a very valid reason for those drivers to say that. Because cocorite road doesn't even reach as far as T&TEC, & TRS is actually off route for La horquetta taxis.

As regards "they are for the longer route " I never heard a taxi driver complain about too many short drops, and trust me, dem fellas don't mind short drops not one little bit at all
Brazil is a good pull from the stand, Talparo even further, and dem roads eh exactly smooth or wide. In d taxi game, short drop is d flick.

The PH men make the money because they do not even reach the line to full and are capable of the fancy drives to get to the lights. But on a real the traffic approaching that intersection of CRH and Tumpuna road both ways is prob the worst in the country during peak hours. Something to experience to really understand.

Ramberran is the main problem there and he won against the State. With continuous development at the CRH/Tumpuna intersection that is occurring I dont see any relief anytime soon.
