I've heard from BT50 and Ranger owners with the WL grenade that you can invest in a murphy gauge.

https://www.fwmurphy.com/products/gages/20t-25t

Can wire it to kill motor (very very unsafe) or perhaps a bright light/buzzer.

How do these compare to something like an autometer/innovate gauge with a warning light that tells you the exact temp value of the coolant at the location the temp sensor is located

The warn option is basically the same, but those two also have "kill" capability, although I won't suggest it

How come my 1992 Corolla overheat countless times and it still runs just fine?

I am having a hard time understanding how nothing has happened to this engine it even get covered by 6 feet of water in the legendary flood we had and it somehow still works fine.

You probably got the Middle East version.
Optimized for low level insurgencies just like its brother the Hilux "Technical"

Dont those carry cast iron blocks? When it done overheat you just let it cool off and probably get the head shaved. Good to go again.

Met an L200 guy overheating at the end of the mon desire highway by oropouche end. Coolant line burst, I had a gallon of water with me so I empty it in there, went in dumore, get a fill up, fill him up and he roll on home. That will sort out tomorrow
