The Ministry of Education has announced the award of scholarships based on the results of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) 2022.
The scholarships in the ten cognate groups are awarded solely based on academic performance.
For academic year 2021/2022, the Government awarded 100 scholarships - 32 Open and 68 Additional.
Of the 100 scholarships, 72 per cent were awarded to female students while 28 per cent were awarded to male students.
The scholarships are awarded as follows:

just going to say this, but something seriously wrong with how we socializing boys on the island. Most of the boys coming out duncy head. Plenty even worse than duncy head.
kudos to the ministry for publishing names and schools. We, the public, paying for the scholarships. We should know who receiving our money. If these students would rather not be named, just leave the public monies alone, simple.
also not a single govt school on that list. Disappointing because pre-covid a few of them were coming along really well.

Does the ministry appoint teachers? Or is it the TSC? Either way, totally unacceptable.paid_influencer wrote:
i guess they going to blame kamla for this?
Not a prestige school so insignificant, not a scholarship winning school so Matters not. In the government's eyes this isn't a priority.paid_influencer wrote:
