To be fair there are the extreme parties on both side who will do anything for the cause. If it falls in your garden you wont see it.

CDC Expands Eligibility for COVID-19 Booster Shots

October 21, 2021

For individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, the following groups are eligible for a booster shot at 6 months or more after their initial series:

65 years and older
Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
Age 18+ who work or live in high-risk settings
For the nearly 15 million people who got the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, booster shots are also recommended for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated two or more months ago.

There are now booster recommendations for all three available COVID-19 vaccines in the United States. Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received and others, may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.

Covid-19 in Georgia: 99 per cent of deceased unvaccinated

23 Oct 2021 - 11:22, Tbilisi, Georgia

Ninety-nine per cent of individuals who have died from Covid-19 in Georgia were not vaccinated, Head of Georgia's National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said.

Gamkrelidze is travelling to the various regions of Georgia with other health officials to promote Covid-19 vaccination especially among the most vulnerable groups.

"This is a life-and-death battle with an invisible enemy. Vaccination is our main weapon, which will lead to eventual victory", he said.

NCDC together with UNDP started the ‘Vaccines for Life’ campaign to help speed up the vaccination process and debunk vaccine myths.

Based on the information published at the StopCov website, a total of 4,467 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, while 1,790 patients have recovered and 42 others have died.

A total 32.1 per cent of the adult Georgian population is fully vaccinated as of October 22. In order to boost the vaccination rate, the Georgian government began vaccination marathons by sending medical workers to rural areas of the country to talk to locals about the benefits of vaccination.

Scientists are working on vaccine that will combat ALL types of current and future coronaviruses in an effort to 'ward off the next pandemic'

Scientists based in San Diego are working on creating a vaccine that could be effective against all existing, and future, coronaviruses

Jab would be able to 'ward off future' pandemics and protect people from viruses that do not exist yet

Researchers will analyze COVID-19 cells and build vaccine that can combat parts of virus cell that do not change in mutation

On top of COVID-19, other coronaviruses include SARS and MERS, and there has been an outbreak of a coronavirus at the start of each of the past three decades

Researchers have developed a model of Covid spike proteins called 'VFLIP', which can be used to get a more accurate look at the structure of virus cells.

The more accurate look can help the researchers develop stronger, more effective, antibodies.

'The stability of VFLIP, its robust production and its ability to elicit a potent, long-lasting antibody response capable of neutralizing the infectivity of different variants of [Covid] make this immunogen an excellent tool for the design of novel pan-coronavirus vaccines,' said Dr Eduardo Olmedillas, who is leading the research at La Jolla, said in a statement.

'The biophysical characteristics of VFLIP allow its further study in vaccine platforms such mRNA and nanoparticle-based vaccines, which broadens the possibilities of designing more broad and potent pan-coronavirus vaccines.'

I believe the government might be saving Pfizer doses for when approval is granted to administer them to the 5 - 11 age group. Remember we are supposed to be receiving a few hundred thousand doses of Pfizer still.

Not sure how that will work, since the dosage for that age group is 1/3 of the regular one, and the vaccines already come in syringes, so not like they can extract from vials. Looks very likely that we will end up with lots of expired pfizer, what a shame.

Grenada is fairly vax hesitant. They also wouldn't want to take to much and also have it sit and expire on them.

https://newsday.co.tt/2021/10/12/pfizer-vaccine-expiration-date-extended-to-february/
The country in possession cannot extend vaccine expiration dates. In this case the FDA extended the expiration date for ALL of the vaccines with the SAME BATCH CODES.

The information is in the article that you cited erroneously.

--------

"The US-based National Community Pharmacists Association said the FDA has approved such an extension for emergency use authorisation for the Pfizer vaccine, whereby an expiry date of August 2021 through February 2022 was being extended by three months once stored between -90°C to -60°C.

The FDA website confirmed this extension in a fact sheet, dated September 22, for healthcare providers administering the Pfizer vaccine . It also posted a letter from the FDA to Pfizer dated August 22 agreeing to the extension, saying, "We have completed our review and based on the information submitted, we concur with this change." "

You might be right. Can’t confirm for Pfizer. Sino, Astra Zeneca, J&J vials for sure. I assumed it was the case across the board. Retracted if wrong

Pfizer is shipped concentrated in a vial.

Vaccine differences between Moderna and Pfizer–BioNTech

Unlike the Moderna vaccine, the Pfizer–BioNTech vaccine must be diluted before use. After thawing, the multiple-dose vial contains 0.45 mL of concentrated vaccine, which requires further dilution using 1.8 mL of preservative-free 0.9% sodium chloride injection. After dilution, each vial contains six (or even seven) doses when using low dead-volume syringes/needles to extract the 0.3-mL (30-mcg) dose.
