R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman

Postby eliteauto » August 28th, 2020, 10:27 pm

Actor Chadwick Boseman, who played Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before finding fame as the regal Black Panther in the Marvel cinematic universe, died Friday of cancer, his representative said. He was 43.

Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press.

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, his family said in a statement.

"A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much," his family said in the statement. "From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and several more — all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honour of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther."

Boseman had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis.

Not sure if irony or poetic, but he died on the day that was chosen this year to celebrate Jackie Robinson, given he acted in the role of that very person back in the movie "42".

RIP. Colon cancer is a really hard way to suffer to the end, at least now he will no longer suffer.

All I'll say is the following.
Life is energy. Energy can not be created nor destroyed. It can only be transferred or transformed. Therefore, we must wait. But only until we are graced with his essence and excellence again.
This man has done a lot, and opened so many doors. Not only for black people in Hollywood on the silver screen, but in life, as motivation for millions of people around the world.

I suffering from leaky-eye syndrome with this news.

At times like we of the globe are experiencing now, the great, impactful young persons who have left us, have left significant messages and life examples to act as a guide for transformation.
Only feeling the sorrow at the loss whilst being deaf to the message sent makes honoring these great persons hollow.
