i have an aerocard and I used it with paypal 2 weeks ago, they flagged it as suspicious both times, first time it was denied totally and had to call bank to let it through, second time they actually called me.

You can't just use your credit card directly to pay? Do you still earn points on PayPal payments?

Yeah same thing with me wrt NCourt charges for $56k yesterday. Called and they blocked my card. I did notice that it said "card ending ..." and listed the last 4 digits of a previous cc. So I doubt my existing card was charged. But the rep blocked the card out of an abundance of caution. Will visit the branch tmrw. They should wipe off all my charges for this inconvenience lol.

Scotia says they have widespread fraudulent charges from something called NCourt to their CCs.
I had an attempted charge of $56k (yes that's $56k) at 11:52AM today but I don't have that balance available. Good thing for not paying CC yet.

Check your notifications and CC balances.

I experienced this exact same situation. Anyone went in to the bank yet? The CSR told me at the time of the call to visit the branch in 7-10 working days for new card.

Collected new card yesterday. Be sure to do a balance check at an ATM after the phone call activation to fully activate the card. Wasn't told this at first and the card didn't work at a POS

Usually just a balance enquiry at the ATM to complete the activation.

Nah, using the TTPL number which is on the bottom left of your Aero card. If you never signed up, you could call Scotia Aero department 627-2684 ext 3 then 4. Your aero credit card will be verified then they will give you a temporary password. Aero department operates from 8-4pm.

Scotia aero and black has 5% cash back on restaurants and dining for this quarter. How do you know which merchants are categorised as "restaurants" and "dining"? Is there a list somewhere?
