2FA is the standard for secure login into anywhere that's secure on the internet in 2021 and beyond. This is so that a group of hackers in Russia who have your password from a hacked dump file and has been attempting to break your account since last year, don't get through just in case they logged in with the correct password. The system would then activate the 2nd factor of defense which is you physically in possession of your phone with your unique number.
Use the Google Authenticator app and you can add all your accounts to it, from Microsoft to Facebook to Yahoo, etc. Inside the security setting in your accounts, dig until you find the option to use an authenticator app for 2FA login and it will generate a QR code which you scan with app when you're ready to add an account. Don't do this from a work computer, do it at a private secure computer. The app itself requires fingerprint on your phone to unlock so only you can access it to receive the code.
When you sign in with your password, a unique time sensitive code is generated in the app which you input into the 2nd factor authentication box. It's very easy guys, so get with the times and update your login security. I've been doing this as standard since 2019.
