True, but it could also be a disinformation tactic to lull the AFU in to false sense of security.
Do not trust anything coming from these Russians

Prigozhin does not have military training. That's fact. He does have gulag time, though.
Many of the Wagner commanders lack any true military training. Although, most of them do share one thing: prison time.

Not debating that, but right now Bakhut is being shelled and burnt to hell with phosphorous bombs. Definitely doesn't seem like the actions of an army about to withdraw or one that has an ammunition shortage....

What’s more likely is the BRICS alliance being the new unholy axis of power.
Wah is d update on this?adnj wrote:Ukraine war: Russia battles armed group in border region
An armed group has crossed from Ukraine into Russia's Belgorod region and clashes there have injured a number of people, Russian authorities say.
Local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said Russian forces were searching for "saboteurs", who he said had attacked Grayvoronsky district by the border.
Vladimir Putin's spokesman said the Russian president had been informed.
Ukraine denies responsibility and said Russian citizens from two paramilitary groups were behind the incursion.

BRICS is an alliance of convenience.
South Africa has the world's highest murder rate for a large country (3rd overall), they also have the world's highest unemployment rate and some of the world's worst income inequality
Brazil is a large country with barely any regional power projection
Russia is currently bogged down fighting a nothingness war that has them utilizing tanks from the 1960s. Their military will not recover any time soon and thier arms industry is probably facing a huge question in export markets.
That leaves China and India. Two nuclear armed countries distrustful of each other.
Chinese maps claim around 30,000kms of Kashmir (Aksai Chin) and the entirety of the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
India is a member of the Quad which has an aim of countering China in the Indo Pacific region.

That relationship is built on a shaky foundation, so it depends how much they will be willing to support each other in their anti-western agenda. They already making moves to destabilise the dollar as the defacto standard of trade inside their house no?

Just because I saw it this morning..back to my point about Brazil being a mere paper tiger. At the G7 last week Lula intentionally ignored Zelensky in such an awkward manner when everyone else was greeting him. The planned meeting between Brazil and Ukraine also never happened.
Modi on the other hand shaked Zelensky's hand and held a face to meeting with him as well during the G7. India and Modi understands that to be a global player you have to engage with everyone. Brazil is content with picking a side and staying with it.
