Confirmation came from Assistant Secretary, Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and Urban Development, Joel Sampson during Wednesday’s Post Executive Council meeting. Sampson noted that there will also be changes to job titles, which will take effect on July 14, the same date as the wage increases.

The other category of Charge Hand will change to Circulatory Charge Hand, accompanied by a wage change from $181 per day to $241 per day.
He said drivers will maintain their title but will receive a wage increase from $170 per day to $220 per day. Tradesmen (including carpenters and masons) too will maintain their title and receive a wage increase from $166 to $216 per day.
He said approval has also been granted for URP workers to be eligible for the following:

3 days’ bereavement leave upon the death of an immediate family member.
14 weeks’ maternity leave, as outlined in the Maternity Protection Act.
Assistant Secretary Sampson stated that the policy guidelines with respect to the changes in benefits will be properly disseminated to all workers.
Secretary, Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport, Terance Baynes, revealed that the restructuring of the CEPEP programme remains ongoing. He said a draft document is to be formulated by the Programme Coordinator and her team to treat with benefits to the CEPEP workers on the lower level of the organisational structure.
Baynes said as a result, with effect from July 4th, 2022, the wages of the following CEPEP workers will increase:

Well vote for imburt and the geologist again they doing an EXCELLENT job so far
Thats what happens when you put faith in politicians. Duke has a lot of baggage, but he has charisma which would appeal to the feeble minded. Same goes for the perennial opposition leader. Same goes for the prime minister. Farley seems to be trying his best, but once duke and his toxicity around, it's probably futile.hover11 wrote:The geologist and imbert will have another 5 years to enjoy themselves

Which ppl? Because in a free and fair democracy, the PNM has won almost every election, and the other times, they have been out for just one term. What do you attribute to that? Racial voting? Election fraud? Voter intimidation? Superior politicians? Or maybe the majority of voters think they are doing a good enough job? Or the majority of voters rather vote for the lesser of the evils?hover11 wrote:Who wins in the end , certainly not the ppl like I said before the geologist and imbert will be smiling for the next five years while the citizens have to another 5 years to catch. Agreed, you can also see it on tuner. Imagine if this happen with the PNM, this thread would have exploded with posts. At least hover posted the press release. What are the implications for Tobago? How does Farley operate as the chief secretary while being undermined in his own party? But Rowley getting horn is acceptable for most tuners here to pay attention to.eliteauto wrote:When your focus is the removal of the PNM but no plans for actual governance and no real party structure, seen it before and seeing it in some of the contenders for 2025 already. Nah... that's not how a normal party operates. If there are disagreements in the party, you handle it internally. Duke should not have put Farley and his THA team on blast like that publicly.
