I see the air support Barnes GG padna guy claims he has best retrieval since he himself goes with his bag of guns and padnas from TTPS whilst many others have to subcontract the retrieval

A Santa Cruz man who had a little too much to drink and fell asleep behind the wheel before deciding to park the car and travel home – was later robbed of his vehicle.

Police said the 42-year-old of La Sagesse Road, reported that around 11.45 pm on August 19 – he got into the silver coloured CK4 Mitsubishi Lancer which had been parked along Maloney Street, Petit Bourg, San Juan in the vicinity of Bermudez Biscuits Co Ltd after having some drinks.

He admitted to rolling down the window as he fell asleep.

The victim awoke around 2 am on August 20, and observed the key had been removed from the ignition.

However, he went back to sleep until 7:30 am, following which he awoke and secured the car by locking all doors and windows manually before he left.

Returning to the location around 11 am the same day, the victim realised the car was missing.

Officers of the San Juan CID visited the scene and a report was lodged with the Stolen Vehicles Unit.

Requests for CCTV footage from businesses and residents in the area have also been made.

no picture given of said silver ck4.

How many of you actually check on your vehicles during the night especially if you parked in an open yard or on the street? Many victims are reporting that they park their vehicle as early as 5pm and only when they are ready to leave at 6am the next day they realize vehicle gone

I know of people who renting and have no parking inside the house for their car so they park outside the road among other renters cars sometimes much further away because of no space and when they get up in the morning car either gone or on bricks.

Boy only a handful would do that. Another thing is people spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a vehicle but fail to put a GPS or some kinda anti theft device.

Many videos of crime I have seen all involve an Aqua.
Wouldn't doubt it is also to supply the used parts market.

The problem with aquas is ppl run to buy them when they were dog cheap didn't do the research that a battery will run 15 to 20k and now everyday one is stolen due to parts because they don't have that kind of money to pelt out behind a battery, quicker and cheaper to just steal one.

Agreed. I'm addition, I consider the EV industry a complete eco sham.

We should develop our CNG infrastructure instead of moving towards an extraordinarily expensive and uneconomical infrastructural development for public EV buses and private EV cars. But big contracts abound...

Have some low down torque for short sprints.

Being electric you can sneek up on a mark and being popular you go un-noticed.

Supply and demand laws also dont apply in trinidad.

The car is also easy to hide as its small. I was trying to figure how much of the aqua fits into the corolla to gauge the parts market.
