Kenson supplies entry to mid level labour. You will need to apply to them. Also just o level qualifications won't get you very far in the oil and gas sector where competition is cut throat.

Electrical mechanical operations and basically anything you can think of outside of an office. The lower level stuff is fine by smaller contractors. Apply directly to kenson. Heritage/Paria itself doesn't hire technical personnel under the level of supervision or engineer. Good luck

Heritage / Paira is upper level management and operations. Mostly proactive decision making and management of existing operations.

Kenson is mid level management, ops and field. Recieves instructions from heritage / paria. They will handle contractors and can be in the field doing the work or assisting contractor personnel.

Contractor operation will be install, commissioning and maintenance of current infrastructure. Can be electrical and mechanical for infrastructure, pipeline maintenance/ fitting / repair, vegetation clearing and maintenance, painting, sand blasting, metal works, oil spill cleanup and removal of contaminated material, surveillance and communication, excavation, transport for personnel and equipment, road repair, pole planting, pole removal, drilling and workovers, rig movements, lighting, etc.

5 cxc would would not qualify you for much. You not alert, aware and paying attention to your surroundings and you won't last a few days. Worst yet if you decide to do your own thing because you of the impression nobody will know or is small thing....things can go from zero to catastrophic real fast. You work for you and everyone else there.

I'd suggest you apply to the various contractors that work in the field and get some experience to start with.

You can apply to kenson if you have interests in working within those particular fields but other options include:

Touchstone
Trinity
Rigtech
Lease operators / well services
New horizon

There is also d2f and massy energy that service a lot of the companies within the point Lisa's industrial estate.

Start with basic mech or electrical engineering or some sort of background that introduce you to either of. Get to know the drilling and work over process, exploration and production, how a pumping jack works (it have people in Trinidad never seen a pumping jack, I kid you not), PCP, piping, pipe fitting and joining, seals, valves, basic HSE, control of work, transmission and distribution, dol vs soft start, PLC, Dcs, switchgear, vcb, ocb, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, sensors, steam injection....I can name a few others.

Assoicate with people in the field, ask questions, don't be afraid to question things and / or make suggestions. Just a few days ago I messaged Xavier Moonan asking if anyone ever did an analysis on water that comes up from underground to see what's in it. Grounds for asking was that a new species of guppies were discovered in the unique and isolated environment at the pitch lake. Temps can be high but some lifeforms dwell in such (thermophiles) and viruses are just protiens, anything can exist in there and remain dormant over the centuries.

As of late most companies trying to reduce their carbon footprint so they looking at renewable technology and efficiency. Suggestions are welcome and can make you stand out in an interview or pre-interview.

Rum is important, very important in this case. Something you need to understand is the labor force is large and employment opportunities are small. Companies get bombarded with. Thousands of applications all the time. It will be easier on you of someone knows you inside and can speak on behalf of you as people can look good on paper and answer questions in an interview but not be a team player or easy person to work with. Plenty industry people like rum, learn to talk to people and converse, see what you can learn. It depends on who you see drinking btw, because it's a known fact plenty people have jobs and don't know anything or can't function properly. Met a guy that watch a flight of stairs in point lisas and practically fell down the stairs. Jusso Jusso, takes a certain kinda skill to accomplish something like that.

What Moonan say?

He said you should some ask me in person.

Most of what under there can be sea water that ended up trapped and surface dwelling microbes can find themselves there through percolation. Contamination through the medium that brings up the water is an issue. Nothing significant as far as he knows.

But my question was in respect to connate water so influence from existing surface microbiology rules that out.

I just found it interesting.
