You could sing like a canary and people still won't be sad. What's your point?

Because he was an entertainer and a decent human, whether he was good or not in your opinion, he had an impact on many in the industry. I went nuff melanin strong party and heard his music play and everyone jam to it, been involved in a few of his charity and Christmas drives too and he payed his dues….Let him be, don’t discredit his input on the masses as just a singer.

Off the current big 3 chutney crossover artistes - Raymond, Ravi and Anil, Bheem was miles ahead as a vocalist (hence his recent sobriquet).
Ravi B has the best marketing.

As an aside Raymond's father, Tole passed away last week that's why he has been low key for a while.

I living in a permanent cacophony of chatney, chutney, Spanish opera and Jamaican gospel.
That being said, there's a sportsbar in the village that is exclusively chutney, fireside cooking, tassa and other Gunga Gana type activities.

Bheem widely mourned, as Ministry botches condolences

In a media release, the Ministry of Tourism stated that Bheem had made a tremendous contribution to Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural landscape through his performance of Bollywood, religious and chutney music. And in recognizing his contributions, the ministry inaccurately identified the Hanuman Chalisa as part of Bheem’s chutney soca repertoire. The ministry has since apologized to his family, supporters and the Hindu community.

He was more known for cover versions of bollywood film songs, not like Ravi B and the others that put "dotish words" to the tunes. He did indeed have a special voice. He was not a chutney singer as many people are saying. He was an entertainer and radio programme host.

RIP to him and his family and friends, did i miss it or did they say or mention the cause of death? seems a tad bit worrying that he could perform under such high spirits on the night and then just not wake up the following morning.

In the 2013 CSM Bheem had an original chutney which wasn't that bad - Freelancer. It's not a bollywood tune (afaik) and it wasn't a rum song. That's the year Raymond won though and Bheem came 5th

lol, that is why I said "more known", I believe he had about 3 songs where he put his words to bollywood tune. But he has hundreds of cover versions otherwise. Take win.

Saw a 40' trailer with sound system heading up SMR in Curepe with 103.1FM branding on it this morning. Guess it's part of Bheem's funeral.

Indian Anthem from a DAS array IYMC!!!!!
