Does paying in ttd online for example amazon affect your credit card usd monthly balance? How exactly does this type of currency conversion happen.

Doesn't affect your USD monthly balance as the card is charged in TTD. However you will be paying more as the exchange rate used is higher than that of the bank (usually about 7.2 as opposed to the bank's 6.8 ).

amazon will still charge u in usd even tho they show u a ttd amount
amazon don't actually converts the ttd to usd, it straight up trickery
there is NO REASON to use the ttd currency on amazon, they don't charge in ttd. always change the currency to usd

also if u read the bank websites they does say all foreinga transactions count

*Credit Card Notice
Effective September 21, 2023 and until further notice, you can only use up to a maximum of US$5,000 or up to your credit limit if your limit is less than US$5,000, per statement cycle. This includes foreign transactions that are applied to the TT$ side of your account. This change does not affect local transactions on the TT$ side of your account.

Yup, Once a company's processor is outside of Trinidad, u gonna get charged in FX. Could be Guyana or China.

When making a purchase, if you seeing it in TTD. Change it back to USD as you gonna have to pay conversion fees like on PayPal and Amazon

Nobody can trade with TT$ outside of Trinidad and online. TT$ is completely worthless. VISA does the conversion to USD
