CG vessels down way way longer. I’m frequently in the 3 places that vessels are kept and it’s ridiculous to see the state of hundreds of millions of dollars in equipment just wasting away.

An Islands of very stupid ppl.AlphaMan wrote:Its 9 budgets pass already and the citizenry accept everything that's done to them, price increases..etc. And said citizenry still lining up in the hot sun to vote for PNM.
At this point Rowley knows he could do what he wants... pass whatever budget he wants and there are no consequences to his hold on to power as PM.
"Budget Goodies" are a thing of the past.
Which government is brave enough to implement "property tax" in an election year?
Not even Patrick Manning or Eric Williams was this Brave.
Rowley however is a different Beast. He means business.
AH BOIIIII. The biggest mamaguy budget . Things that were not a possibility for the past NINE years will become reality. All of a sudden the money will appear to make voters smileshaneelal wrote:September 30th

RIC rate hikes to come to pass
Increases in MVT for both gas and electric

increases in vice tax (casinos, alco, cigs)
introduction of sugar tax to balance the issues with health sector and diabetes complications
increase in OPT
Artificial sweeteners:
public service negotiation settlement and backpay
New HDC housing projects
Maybe few net positive income tax allowance adjustments
Vat adjustment on locally grown food to incentivise purchasing over imported
increased incentives for farming
increased incentives for solar
solar feed-in rates to earn passively
Increased options for vocational training to catch early school leavers
Increasing pensions and social welfare grants, settling public service wage negotiations at an acceptable percentage, increasing the personal tax allowance yet again. Removal of taxes off items possibly hybrid. The goal is for a re election, trinis lack the foresight to see the mamaguy but when reelected they will suffer them for another four years and only treat them nice on election years. Do you recall they withdrew 300 million from the HSF fund in December and up to present time no one knows the reason for such? They didnt have the money to restructure WASA but they took a loan of $315 US million from the IDB.There are many things at this time , they knowingly cannot afford but they will find the money.Dizzy28 wrote:No to any of those thingshover11 wrote:Increasing pensions and social welfare grants, settling public service wage negotiations at an acceptable percentage, increasing the personal tax allowance yet again.
