What is the cost to rebuild the 1kd?

I have heard quotes from as low as 20k all the way up to 40k

If injectors and turbo also need to service can add as much as 10k to the bill

Thanks, any guidance on cleaning the EGR system. Any benefits in doing it?

The 1KD with EGR tend to have a heavy build up of soot and oil
Its always a good idea to do a clean and EGR blank plate
But manifold would need to be removed and physically cleaned
Them chemical and steam cleans dont do such a good job.

I havent done it personally, as my van didnt come with EGR
But i know ppl who did theirs with the blankplate with the 7mm hole, and had no issues
