The manual might refer to it as the sedimentor...it is the fuel filter housing (designed to collect free water in its base)

Don;t buy there because you got ONE batch of bad fuel?
I've been buying fuel there or the last 2 years.

2012 3.0d4dHilux

2013 2.2 Turbo Diesel Santa Fe

Never had a problem.

2012 3.0d4dHilux

2013 2.2 Turbo Diesel Santa Fe

Never had a problem.

:? So you expect me to go back to Unipet the next day and full up as if nothing ever happened :?
weather is one batch or not....it cost me 2k to fix out of MY pocket.
Nobody stopping you from buying anyways. I posted a simple fact... to you rich guys that might be nothing.
But at least they accepted the complaints and dealing with the problem from me and other motorist who also had the same problem

:? So you expect me to go back to Unipet the next day and full up as if nothing ever happened - Yes, mathematically you have a low probability of getting two batches of bad fuel on two consecutive days, unless there's systemic causation . :?
weather i think you mean whether as in "whether or not it's one batch"and not "weather" as in rainy, sunny, windy is one batch or not....it cost me 2k to fix out of MY pocket. Welcome to vehicle ownership
Nobody stopping you from buying anyways. True, but you said "don't buy diesel there" Your one bad experience should not deter others from buying
I posted a simple fact Just so we're on the same page; The FACT is that you got some bad fuel, your OPNION is that people should stop buying diesel there?
to you rich guys that might be nothing. Not a rich guy by any measure but 2000 isn't a lot of money when you consider what could have happened if the diesel was REALLY crappy; (new pump and injectors) about 25k if you going through TTTL
But at least they accepted the complaints and dealing with the problem from me and other motorist who also had the same problem Which is absolutely brilliant, you almost never see this happening in the local service industry, kudos to the owners you just encouraged me to buy there.

@Ronnie
What did you have done to fix the problem and how is it now.

I must say that I've had bad experiences with fuel from unipet in general
Their diesel always smells like kerosene
Their super has caused pinking in my sister's ae101 and makes it difficult to start my ga13 in another vehicle
Their premium has caused pinking in my ek4
More than one occasion at 4 different unipet stations.(Not inclusive of the one on Union road)

I have less headache and less noise with NP fuels but that is from the one station I full up at currently
NP isn't without fault though.
The NP service station at Charlie King Junction was closed down for unconfirmed reasons and i've received poor quality fuel from another NP station as well. If anything my main problems with NP usually occur at Old service stations.

These are my experiences
ymmv

kamakazi, This is a pic of the Diesel fuel that came out of my Tank. My pickup is just 10months old doing 15000km. It was clearly contaminated Diesel, they had to remove the tank, drain all the fuel, blow out the lines and replace the fuel filter. Vehicle back in order.
I've heard alot of people had issues with Unipet(Except People From this Site), even the pump attendants was telling me alot of people was affected by this bad diesel. The Diesel pump at this station was down for repairs last week...
I gave them a sample of the fuel, so they are running some test

Damn. Looks like chocolate.

I think its a hit and miss. A while bqck I went to four different stations and got samples of diesel. I had a thread on this somewhere on tuner. The dirtiest diesel came from new np stations. The cleanest came from the old stations. I got the best diesel from unipet.

Ouch. .. thats not pretty
Glad to hear you got it sorted
Sedimentor might have to be drained 3 -5 times to handle that amount of contamination. ... Hope the filter kept most of that away from the rail
All the best man

Fellahs need some opinions/help.
I have a 2010 D4D 2.5L turbo 4x4 hilux

Recently when I start pushing in my clutch, at the end of the stroke (pedal to the floor) I'm getting a strange noise. Sounds a bit like scraping...
Anyone ever had this issue before or know what it could be?

Doesn't feel rough to me, just getting that noise.
So your slave cylinder failed and you had to change the whole thing? Or just the plunger inside?
I'm only doing 110k kms :(
