It was mranked No 2 ahead of Brands like BFG KO and Michelin LTX AT2 yet was costing 1280 + vat less 10% for buying 4 tires. So I went with it.

Where did you get them?

Automotive components arima. Was quite surprised to get a tire ranked number two by tire rack even ahead of Michelin and bfg at that price. Excellent in both dry and wet .

I replaced my tires this morning a few months earlier because of Sale
KUMHO KL 51 Road Venture 275/60/17

Laughlin Le Gannes- POS had sale on them for $1000 each .....$4000 set of four (33/14 manufacture date) (ansamcal discount card used)

I got 61,000kms on them easily. last set bought from Mileage Mack- South 2 years ago.

I did check out Quick Service But the $6600 for 3 and get one free was a little expensive for not much difference in ride feel and quality.

I made a few calls and listed the results below before i made my decision.

Ramrattan Michelin latitude 265x65x17 TT$1,800.00 TT$7,200.00

Quick Service Michelin LTX M/S2 265x65x17 TT$2,175.00 per tire X4=TT$8,700.00 Promotion = (X3) TT$6,525.00

MileaeMack Kumho 275x60x17 TT$1,500.00 TT$6,000.00
MileaeMack Toyo 265x65x17 TT$1,700.00 TT$6,800.00

Brantec Bridgestone 684II 265x65x17 TT$1,600.00 TT$6,400.00
Promotion X3 1 free =TT$4,800.00

Brantec Kumho 265x65x17 TT$1,650.00 TT$6,600.00

Kelly's Firestone AT 265x65x17 TT$1,800.00 TT$7,200.00

I called them...they were'nt offering a decent price on the trade in. I understand they are 'used' but found their price too unreasonable.

Anybody ever head of Kingrun tires?

Nankang from Unlimited Tyres in Cunupia... got these installed a year now (18000kms or so old) and they work great.

I had Toyo before, but the Nankangs were around half the price so I decided to go with them and try it out based on the opinion of a friend who said they ride good.

Update: I swapped out the Duellers I had (255/70/15) and put on Toyo Open Country ATII (265/65/15)

Will let you guys know how it works. Hopefully these Toyo's will be much better with traction.

TBH I didn't really check they have the Bridgestone Duelers for a similar price. M Ramrattan has it at the same price too.

Mileage Mack has the Kumho and Toyo for about 1350 apiece (installed).

First time using the Firestone...had the toyos before which worked out great but the price on the destinations was too hard to beat.

Ok I currently have the destination. The two back doing about 70000km and about 40% life. The front having alignment problems so those tyres changed twice since the four were changed. But I looking to change.

Got similar numbers on the toyos...plus they gripped the road like a mofo. Road noise wasn't too bad, actually surprised me pleasantly for an all terrain tyre. Best tyres I ever had we're the Michelin cross terrains...hands down would be my choice but the current Michelin offerings so pricey. If you're going down the Toyo/ Kumho route cater about $70 extra per tyre for mounting, balancing and disposal.

Yes it's a hilux....wondering if it would touch in the front....saw some nankangs.....all terrain....also I don't want to hear noise when driving so not sure if those all terrains would make noise though.....saw them reasonably priced at $750 Installed

In relation to all highway tyres.....how is the noise level from the all terrain and the ride as well....More bumpy?

Ride is definitely more bumpy with A/T tyres or LT designated tyres

Personally...i would advise you to buy tyres according to where you do most of your driving.

H/T rides the best and the quietest on the road and in wet condition. But works like crap in any slight mud or even wet grass..

M/T i wont recommend for any daily driver. If is a weekend rig or project vehicle...then it ok. But they howl on the blacktop and the traction on the road is terrible.

A/T as far as i see is a marketing gimmik.
They are basically H/T with a some more agressive lugs.
The are supposed to provide a balance between H/T and M/T but they actually dont. They still make a lot of noise and still dont work well in muddy conditions. But for novice trails etc they work well.

As with all tyres...good brands tend to cost more for a reason.

My experiences are mostly with cheap tyres.
There are good A/T and even some less agressive M/T that perform really well offroad and on the highways.
