Oil FILTER ?

Good day ppl. i have a question with my ford ranger my pick up is due for service soon and i called the firm 2 price oil and fuel filter
Fuel filter OEM is -$287+ vat
WIX Fuel filter - $125+ vat

OEM OIL filter - $187 + Vat
WIX Oil filter - $43+ Vat

what i want to find out is wen i bought the wix oil filter the one i got i noticed it is bigger than the Oem filter that the van has rite now i went to a next part place and noticed a Toyota vigo oil filter is the same size as the OEM filter so i bought it too. any 1 kno if the vigo filter could work on the 2009 ford ranger? below is pics of the vigo filter and the wix filter the parts place said would work........... VIGO filter is $30 Dollars and made in thailand

The Bore and threading is the same and the gasket are the same size when i line them up face to face
jus the Wix has a bigger lip

^ yup ROC has better prices than the car companies, and it's original.

They have it for $195.00, original Ford.

To answer ur original question, the two filtes might have the same threading but the filter itself may not fit properly into the entire socket.

Best u stay with original.

what i am trying to do is source my own parts which obviously would be cheap than the dealers.. OEM if possible to kinda lower the price of my service.....I also heard that you get 20% off for booking a service on a saturday ...

I do know that the OLDER Ford and Mazdas have oil filters and fuel filters which are interchangeable with the OLDER Toyotas (SR5, etc.) The filter numbers are the same.

I cannot say for the NEWER models if the filters are the same, but once the filter numbers are the same, they will work. IIRC, the Toyota/Mazda/Ford part number for the older oil filter is 9***5-30002 or 30006.

I dont have any filters with me atm, but I have used OEM hilux filters with the WLT Mazda engine.

Contact sweeks on the forum if you are interested in getting OEM toyota filters at a good price...

well rite mine is the 4x2 and is the wlt engine so i guess i hav the rite filter the number i have is 90915-TB001

The price from ROC of 195.00 VAT inclusive or exclusive

for the Original oil filter or fuel filter?

No ........I paid $30 dollars for the black clubs filter and $143 for a Wix Fuel filter All prices are vat inclusive.............However The firm oil filter is 187+vat and fuel filter is 287+vat
