Nature Seekers are having a Beach Clean Up on Sunday March 3rd 2013. The theme for this years clean up is “Embracing and Refreshing Awareness”. The beach to clean up is Matura Beach, 10 3/4 mm Orosco Road, Matura, assembling at 7am till 1pm. Also, they will be having a Sand Turtle Competition to close off the day, where groups of volunteers more than 10 people can register. So come out and volunteer.....



As we know, Matura beach is well known as a nesting site for the endangered Leather Back Turtles. Cleaning up this beach will assist these magnificent creatures to come up on the shore, lay their eggs and hatchlings to return to the ocean. Garbage and debris hamper the turtles return. Therefore we need to assist in this venture. Anyone who has even seen these creatures will definitely agree that this effort is a must.

This year, Side B will proudly support this event and will be there in numbers!!! We are committed to preserve nature for furture generations to partake in its splendor...

this will be a remarkable event to take part in, walk with your sunscreen, food drinks, and garbage bags, and lets help out those folks at nature seekers in cleaning up the beach so these leatherbacks can come up and do their thing.......

i will be calling on you all personally this week to get a head count because we need permits issued for this

a most laudable venture....

we cld extend this to som of dem "offroad" accessable beaches too.

guys....lets band together for this cause

we are gonna have to assemble early oclock to get up there for 7am,

and we does prowl out there all hours of the night so there should be no excuse, i will admit, i am at most times the latecomer, but i already cleared this sunday......
