That sounds like rubbish
Most of the diesel oil sold on the market are 15w40. I believe Toyota uses Castrol Crb turbo or whatever the new name for it is which is a 15w40. The owners manual lists 5w30 as being preferred for good fuel economy and cold weather and also gives you a range of oils you can use; among which is the 15w40.

It also only requires an API CF rated oil which means that you can use most gas engine oils as most are rated to API CF

The Mobil is decent but it is a touch on the pricey side. It isn't necessary but if you want to use it that is up to you.

So far I have used.
Total quartz 9000 5w40
Shell Rimula R4 15w40
Chevron Delo 400 le 15w40

Once you changing oil and filters on time you should have no worries

ok....but if i use the mobile syntec, that oil can change every 10k so i really dont need the Level A services (5k)in which they only change oil and not the filters, cuz the oil filter is changed every 10k ?

That is kinda between you and the warranty department
I personally do 5k to 7k oil changes with some of the cheapest properly rated oil I can find (except NP)
For filtration.. Currently using purolator pure one .... but I'm looking into valvoline filters.
Filter changed along with oil as the filters are not as expensive as OEM

If you have a 3.0 use the CRB Turbo and change @ 5000km
If you have a 2.5 use the Mobil 1 and change @ 8000 - 10000 km tops.

The 3.0 is notorious for calling for rings etc when the oil is pushed long. I am speaking from experience as we have both models.

I want to believe that is caused by the egr in the 3.0 model which loads up the engine oil with soot... which is not present in the 2.5

Has anyone used Guardol ECT 15W40 with Liquid Titanium? What are the reviews?
