Change of body

Hi was just inquiring if a change of body on an older hilux is legal? Thinking bout starting a project?

Ik a lot of jimny owners have swapped bodies so I assume it's not illegal. I may be wrong though.....

Think it's only legal- or at least harder to detect- if the transplant body is the same model as the one you're replacing... I know that's what a lot of the Crown men get in trouble for, so no Royal Saloon MS137 body on an old Deluxe "PX" MS85 chasis for example...

Yeh cause wanted to start a project but I'm afraid of the backlash. Want to do it legit! Do you kno anyone who have done it personally? Would like to kno the procedure.

I don't know anyone that did this officially through the licensing authority... I myself am interested in transplanting a foreign-used Y60 Patrol onto a local 160 chasis (SWB), so if anyone has details on how to go about doing this legally, it would be greatly appreciated...

i've transplanted an american Samurai shell onto a local jimny chassis (same chassis basically) and converted to RHD before with no issues, also inspected and passed
