HELP: 2007 Hilux Fuel Warning Light not coming off

My fuel warning light came on and just kept blinking even after draining and changing the element. Checked the float and contacts are opening and closing, but not sure why the light just wont go off. Based on what I see, when the float is down, the light is supposed to be off, and when there it is water, it rises and the light comes on.

Tried "resetting" multiple times but nothing worked.

Switched with another hilux fluel assembly and light came off. Anybody have any clue what "sensor" there is other than the float?

You just identified problem component on your own.

Problem is with switch/connections on filter assy.

If your tech savy then use a multimeter to pinpoint exact
location of issue.
if not then replace the assy.i think for your model you can
get that part pretty chsap.

Of light bothers you then unplug connector,if light still on use
piece of wire to jump.(but try not to do this).

take it out and play with it a bit

the float seems to be sticking to give a false trigger

spray with some carb spray then wash out before reassembly
